Oil-slick-free salad with a delicious teriyaki vinaigrette dressing recipe | TODAYSDATE.COM

Almost all salad dressings are loaded with oil. They are like Gulf oil spills to your body.
Avoid such spills by creating salads that are oil slick free.
Here's one I just made for myself this morning.
Start with some romaine lettuce gently torn into small pieces.
Put those in in bowl along with:
1/2 raw beet cut up into small pieces
1/2 cup of soaked lentils (you soak these overnight in water, drain the water in morning, add fresh water, and store in refrigerator, then next morning is ready)
1/4 to 1/2 of a medium cucumber cut up into small pieces
1 medium tomato cut into small pieces
1 medium apple cut into small pieces (sweeter use delicious, more tart use granny)
about a tablespoon of teriaki sauce (not the thick gooey kind, the very liquid kind)
about 4 dashes of pepper sauce (this is the one with the tiny red cap) called Tabasco
about 1/4 teaspoon of salt sprinkled on
about 2 tablespoons of vinegar
Toss around and eat.
This is a delicious salad without OIL SLICKS found in most dressings.
It contains added fiber and protein from the pre-sprouted beans and is a very healthy way to start the day and add to dinners or lunches.
This salad that is oil-free has about 7 grams of protein.
NOTE: be sure to sort your beans before soaking them, looking through them to find any small dirt or stones, sometimes beans have debris like this and you don't want to bite down on that. Takes a little extra time but a good idea.
